there’s no breakfast/ tea food with a more contested pronunciation than your good old english scone (sk-OH-n or sk-AW-n???????!?!?!)
regardless of which team your on, scones are much loved all over the world!
here’s a simple recipe for honey scones with a honey glaze 🙂
easy-peasy honey scones
makes 12 small scones
recipe adapted from Dim Cook Guide
(my favourite foodie youtube channel!)
salted butter 80g
sugar 20g (not pictured here)
self-raising flour 200g
first, mix the softened butter with the sugar.
then, add in the honey and mix well until everything dissolves.
measure 200g of self-raising flour.
measure 80ml of milk.
mix everything together~
side note: this is matthew’s first appearance on my blog *clapclap*
distribute the batter evenly- not as we did.
the scones turned out to be huge! so start with smaller scoops of batter 🙂
into the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes!
prepare a honey glaze~
lightly glaze the scones with honey and you’re done!
