easy-peasy honey scones

there’s no breakfast/ tea food with a more contested pronunciation than your good old english scone (sk-OH-n or sk-AW-n???????!?!?!)

regardless of which team your on, scones are much loved all over the world!
here’s a simple recipe for honey scones with a honey glaze 🙂

easy-peasy honey scones
makes 12 small scones
recipe adapted from Dim Cook Guide 
(my favourite foodie youtube channel!)

ingredients:
salted butter 80g
sugar 20g  (not pictured here)
honey 60g
self-raising flour 200g
milk 80ml

first, mix the softened butter with the sugar.

then, add in the honey and mix well until everything dissolves.

measure 200g of self-raising flour.

measure 80ml of milk.

mix everything together~

distribute the batter evenly- not as we did.
the scones turned out to be huge! so start with smaller scoops of batter 🙂

into the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes!

prepare a honey glaze~

lightly glaze the scones with honey and you’re done!
